PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for simply and quickly attaining re-search of a prescribed section by modification of a via-point or the like in a route by visual operation by a user, and to provide its control method and a control program. SOLUTION: When a desired route and via-point are not included in the route guided by the user, in other words, when a desired route section is not included, the navigation device directly designates the desired route section on a guide passage through a touch panel of a display part 7 provided as an input part 12 by the user. Specifically, the navigation device obtains input from the user through the touch panel concerning the start point and end point of a route and the via-point, and re-searches re-searching of the route comprising the start point and end point including the via-point based on it.
