PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein an insert separating surface having a desired radius of curvature can't be formed since there are limitations on widening of the size of cross section, regarding the insert separating surface to disperse stress applied to a holder main body when performing cutting. SOLUTION: This cutting tool is provided with a cutting insert, a holder main body having upper jaw part and lower jaw part mutually separated to hold the cutting insert and a holding part located at a rear end side of the upper jaw part and lower jaw part to hold the upper jaw part and lower jaw part, and a first reinforcing member for connecting the lower jaw part and the holding part.
