摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and compact automatic tool changer with high durability and working reliability secured, in a forward and backward driving transmission mechanism for transmitting a forward and backward driving force from a main spindle to an output shaft and moving the output shaft forward and backward at a predetermined forward and backward pattern synchronized with rotation of the output shaft. SOLUTION: In an elevation driving transmission mechanism 8, a base end of a swing arm 61 is fixed to an intermediate shaft 60, and a tip end is interconnected with an output shaft 5. A rotary cam member 62 is fixedly installed to a main spindle 3, and a ball turret 63 is fixedly installed to the intermediate shaft 60. A plurality of balls 65 are mounted at appropriate intervals in a peripheral direction at an outer peripheral portion of the ball turret 63 opposed to a cam part of the rotary cam member 62 when the output shaft 5 moves forward and backward by a required stroke. A plurality of ball engagement grooves 66 are formed at an outer peripheral portion of the cam part of the rotary cam member 62, and one or more corresponding balls 65 can be engaged with the ball engagement grooves 66.
