PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording head 10 improved in durability by suppressing generation of cavitation in the recording head 10 which ejects an ink by a system wherein a bubble generated by a heating element 18 communicates with the atmospheric air. SOLUTION: The recording head 10 ejects the liquid inside of a foaming chamber 19 by an ejection system wherein the bubble communicates with the atmospheric air for the first time at a volume decrease phase after the bubble grows to the maximum volume. An ejection port 14 and the heating element 18 are arranged with a center O2 of the ejection port 14 being shifted in a direction towards the ejection port 14 from an ink supply port 11 with respect to a center O1 of the heating element 18. At least a part of the ejection port 14 is positioned outside of an effective foaming region 20 which substantially contributes to formation of the bubble at the heating element 18. A distance between a foaming chamber back side wall 24 in the foaming chamber 19 and an end of the opposite side to the side towards the ink supply port 11 in the effective foaming region 20 at the heating element 18 is not smaller than 3 μm.
