<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving or transporting fresh marine cephalopoda, relating to a color development mechanism of the fresh marine cephalopoda and its control, making clear the possibility of performing using sking chromatophore activity and ATP as a high energy compound, i.e., maintaining a stable breathing environment and determining a technical element for controlling neuronal excitement, and suppressing decrease of an energy level occurring under an anaerobic condition so as to retain the cellular activity of an individual for a long period, and making clear the possibility of control of color development so as to find out the most suitable conditions therefor. <P>SOLUTION: This method for preserving or transporting the fresh marine cephalopoda includes putting fresh marine cephalopoda into vapor which keeps oxygen at 2-12 vol%, and suppressing change of the body color of the fresh marine cephalopoda to retain the chromatophore activity potential of the epidermis for a long period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
