摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance accuracy of distance measurement, by accurately measuring a distance even if the reflected light (the delay deflected light) reaches by delaying by one cycle or more of the modulation light from emission of the modulation light. SOLUTION: This first distance measuring device has a light emitting means 14 emitting the modulation light 12 modulated in intensity, a light receiving means 20 receiving the reflected light 18 from a detecting object 16 irradiated by the modulation light 12, an arithmetic operation means 22 calculating the distance up to the detecting object 16 from a phase difference between the modulation light 12 and the reflected light 18, and a gate control part 80. The gate control part 80 controls a light emitting control part 26 so as to intermittently irradiate the detecting object 16 with the modulation light 12 by outputting a gate pulse, and controls an electro-optical shutter or an electronic shutter of an imaging element 28 so as to intermittently control the received light of the reflected light 18 from the detecting object 16 based on intermittent radiation of the modulation light 12.
