摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further prevent a fluid from drying at a nozzle installed on an ejection head. SOLUTION: A solvent is supplied to a capping device 40 via a supply tube 53 from a solvent tank 51 which holds the solvent of a volume larger than that of a capping member 41. The nozzle 23 equipped at a printing head 24 is lidded by the capping device 40. In other words, the nozzle 23 can be lidded in a state with the solvent stored in the capping device 40 while being supplied via the supply tube 53. Moreover, the solvent tank 51 is set at a position such that a level of the stored solvent becomes higher than a level of the solvent of the capping member 41. The solvent can thus be supplied to the capping device 40 without the need of power by utilizing a head difference. An internal space 41e between the capping device 40 and the nozzle 23 is filled with the vaporized solvent, making it possible to further prevent the ink from drying at the nozzle 23.
