PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor magnet that can adjust an attracting force of a magnet, which is mounted on a spindle motor, by using a simple structure, the spindle motor and a recording and reproducing device equipped with this motor, and to provide a jig for manufacturing the magnet. SOLUTION: The rotor magnet 7 is a member of an approximately annular shape mounted on a rotor hub 6, which rotates about a shaft 1 constituting the spindle motor 20, and the magnet is magnetized, in such a manner that axial magnetization characteristics are different for upper and lower end faces 7b, 7c.
