PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate whether an image is a motion image photographed by a professional cameraman or a motion image photographed by an amateur with a fine accuracy, for sorting. SOLUTION: A motion image analyzer 1 analyzes the features of an input motion image. A motion image sorter 2 estimates whether the input motion image is photographed by the professional cameraman or is photographed by the amateur, based on an analysis result by the motion image analyzer 1 for sorting. The motion image analyzer 1 includes: a screen change frequency measurer 11; a camera shake presence or absence determiner 12; a fade presence or absence determiner 13; and a contrast measurer 14. The motion image analyzer 1 also includes a sound-analyzing means for analyzing the features of a sound made incident to the input motion image, and can use sound presence or sound absence, a presence or absence of a noise, and the presence or the absence of background music as a deciding material as to whether the input motion image has been photographed by a professional cameraman or photographed by an amateur.
