PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a lookup table with good reproducibility of achromatic colors. SOLUTION: When the RGB value of an object pixel indicates a nearly achromatic color in a step S130, a decision module D2a outputs the RGB value to a tetrahedral interpolation module D2b. Then the tetrahedral interpolation module D2b performs tetrahedral interpolation for the RGB value of the object pixel in a step S140. Meanwhile, when the RGB value of the object pixel does not indicate a nearly achromatic color in the step S130, the decision module D2a outputs the RGB value to a hexahedral interpolation module D2c.
