PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device for enhancing the storage capacity of a magnetic disk even though correction data is recorded as necessary in a plurality of tracks formed on the magnetic disk, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk device, has a first track in which servo data regions 23 are arranged periodically in the magnetic disk, a part of the region between them is used as a correction data region 25, and the other region, is used as a user data region 27, and a second track in which the servo data regions 23 are arranged periodically and the region between them is used as the user data region 27. An MPU switches servo extraction timing of a position information sampler in accordance with whether the magnetic head servo-reproduces the first track or the second track.
