摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in maintaining bend alignment while evading an adverse effect on a display characteristic. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device is provided with a plurality of scanning lines 20, a plurality of data lines 10 and a plurality of liquid crystal elements 60 provided correspondingly to intersections between the scanning lines 20 and the data lines 10. For these liquid crystal elements 60, OCB liquid crystal is used. The liquid crystal device 700 operates in a display mode for displaying an image or a non-display mode for making an image non-display. In the display mode, a data line driving circuit 120 supplies a prescribed voltage based on black data to the data lines 10 in a latter half period of one frame.
