PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder in which a shaft pivotally supporting a pair of rollers is biased with a uniform force, there occurs no abrasive noise and shaft wear even if the shaft is rotated, and the quantity of the other members is reduced. SOLUTION: The shaft 30 pivotally supporting the nip rollers 22 used for this paper feeder is supported by a support member 38. The support member 38 is disposed at the center part of the shaft 30 between the pair of nip rollers 22.
