PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional material capable of providing functionality at low cost to recesses on the surface part of a substrate with an uneven shape and of making exhibition of the functionality durable for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The functional material 10 specifies the recesses 13 of the substrate 11 with the uneven shape on the surface part 11a, and a functional coating film 14 are formed in the recesses by jetting a functional agent-containing solution 14a by an inkjet coating jetting apparatus 25 into the recesses.
