A method for preparing magnetic nanoparticles, which includes the following steps: a) preparing a bicontinuous microemulsion having an aqueous-phase nanotube structure, the microemulsion being formed by water, one or more water-soluble magnetic or metallic precursors, one or more water-miscible organic dissolvents and one or more surfactants; b) adding one or more reducing agents for producing a reduction reaction in the metallic or magnetic precursors within the aqueous-phase nanotubes so as to form magnetic nanoparticles; and c) separating the magnetic nanoparticles from the bicontinuous microemulsion.
