A molding apparatus for tire vulcanization is provided to prevent rubber from leaking between segments constituting a mold by using leakage blocking grooves formed in embossed sections of the segments. A molding apparatus for tire vulcanization comprises a mold(20) having a plurality of segments(20a,20b). Leakage blocking grooves(23) are formed on an embossed section of each segment along lines between the segments. Each leakage blocking groove has a height lower than that of each segment. Each leakage blocking groove has a triangle section or a rounded concave section and a thickness of 0.5mm to 2mm. The segments are assembled along the circumferential direction of a tire.
