<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electrical machine which can perform variable-speed driving with a high output and over a wide range, from low speed to high speed, and can realize improvement in efficiency, reliability and manufacturing performance over a wide driving range. <P>SOLUTION: In this permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine, one magnetic pole 6 is formed by embedding two kinds of permanent magnets 3, 4 different in shapes or magnetic characteristics into a rotor core 2, the permanent magnets arranged at the magnetic pole are the permanent magnet 3 low in a coercive force and the permanent magnet 4 high in the coercive force, full flux linkage amount is changed, by magnetizing the permanent magnet 3 which is low in the coercive force so as to be non-invertible by a magnetic field generated by a current of an armature winding, the variable-speed drive with the high output and in the wide range becomes possible; and at the same time, the high efficiency can be obtained in the wide drive range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
