<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately and stably determine a state where an object is shielded by shelter. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a shielding control apparatus which controls shielding of an object within a main material video image due to shelter within a sub material video image when overwriting the sub material video image on the main material video image, comprising a detection section for detecting the object within the main material video image through face image recognition, and a determination section for determining a degree of shielding the object with shelter based on a position and a size of the shelter when overwriting the sub material video image on the main material video image, and a position and a size of the object detected by the detection section, wherein in accordance with the degree of shielding determined by the determination section, it is determined whether the sub material video image can be overwritten or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
