<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce noise without loss of rotation transmitting accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: In each tooth 2 of a resin-made gear 1, a predetermined region that is an addendum flank and that extends from a tooth top 8 toward a dedendum 10 is formed as a tooth profile modification region 11 and a tooth flank excepting the tooth profile modification region 11 is formed as an involute tooth profile region 12. The tooth profile modification region 11 includes a standard tooth profile portion 14 in the form of an involute curve extending from the tooth top 8 toward the dedendum 10 and tooth profile modification portions 16 each having a tooth thickness that becomes smaller gradually and smoothly along the direction of the tooth width as the tooth profile modification portion is more apart from the standard tooth profile portion 14. The thickness of the tooth profile modification portion 16 also becomes smaller gradually and smoothly from a dedendum-side end 15 of the tooth profile modification portion 16 toward the tooth top 8. A contact portion of the tooth profile modification region 11 is elastically deformed by making contact with a tooth of a mating gear to mesh with, so that the length of the contact portion in the tooth width direction gradually increases from the side of the tooth top 8 toward the dedendum 10, ranging from a minute width like a point to a full tooth width. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
