PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user authentication system using position information with user-friendliness and security for using position information acquired by GPS as an authentication key. SOLUTION: In the user authentication system using position information, an authentication server 111 is connected to a mobile terminal 102 and a login terminal 104 via a network 105. When receiving position information from the login terminal 104, the authentication server 111 acquires identification information of the mobile terminal 102 associated with the login terminal 104 from a user information management DB 115, acquires the last update position information of the mobile terminal 102 from a position information management DB 116 according to the identification information, and if the acquired position information is updated within a predetermined period, compares, for authentication, the position information of the mobile terminal 102 with the position information of the login terminal 104.
