PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate fine powder dust adhering to a recording medium. SOLUTION: An ink jet printer is fed with a sheet from a sheet feeding mechanism, performs recording by conveying the sheet by a conveyance mechanism and ejecting ink from the nozzle 2b of an ink jet head 2, and then discharges the sheet to a sheet discharge section. Between the sheet feeding mechanism and the ink jet head 2, an upstream pipe 63a having a hole 40a inclining against the ink ejection face 2a and jetting air in the direction making an acute angle to the direction reverse to the conveyance direction, and a hole 40b inclining against the ink ejection face 2a and jetting air in the direction making an acute angle to the conveyance direction is arranged. Between the ink jet head 2 and the sheet discharge section, a downstream pipe 63b having a hole 40c inclining against the ink ejection face 2a and jetting air in the direction making an acute angle to the conveyance direction is arranged.
