PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information notification system that supports safety confirmation of employees, families or others by quickly acquiring and notifying current position information of registrants after an earthquake. SOLUTION: The position information notification system comprises: an observation apparatus 10 for generating an earthquake early warning in the case of an earthquake; a position information notification apparatus 20 for, when receiving the earthquake early warning from the observation apparatus 10, calculating seismic intensity distribution and estimated S wave arrival time to generate a seismic intensity table, extracting areas expected to be affected according to the seismic intensity table, determining whether or not there are any preliminarily registered terminals in the extracted areas expected to be affected, and if any, acquiring current position information of all the registered portable terminals and sending it to all the registered portable terminals and fixed terminals; a plurality of portable terminals 50-1 and 50-2 connected wirelessly to the position information notification apparatus 20; and fixed terminals 60 networked to the position information notification apparatus 20.
