PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut flower-flowering promoter having a plant freshness-holding function and a flowering promoting material having a plant freshness-holding function, which each is excellent in the prevention of the withering and bent neck of the petals and leaves of cut flowers and the like, and has an action for quickly beautifully flowering petals. SOLUTION: This cut flower-flowering promoter having the plant freshness-holding function comprises (A) 2-aminoisobutyric acid or its salt, (B) at least one compound selected from nicotinic acid, nicotinic-acid amide, thiamine hydrochloride, thiamine nitrate, arginic acid, riboflavin, sodium riboflavin phosphate ester, pyridoxine hydrochloride, and glycine, (C) at least one sugar selected from glucose, fructose and sucrose, (D) a plant physiologically active substance, (E) an anti-microbial agent, and (F) an algicide, in a specific weight ratio.
