PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footrest which is moved to the position at which the footrest does not form any obstacle for feet when the footrest is not in use, and requires no labor in the operation for bringing the footrest to the service position when the footrest is again in use. SOLUTION: The footrest 30 is arranged on a back of a front seat 10 and used for a footrest for a person seated in a rear seat, and has a foot board 31 and a supporter 32 to support the foot board in a collapsible and turnable manner with respect to a skeleton frame of the front seat 10. The foot board 31 is supported in a collapsible and turnable manner between the deployment position at which the foot board can be used for a footrest of the seated person and the storage position at which the foot board is folded on a back part of a seatback 11 of the front seat 10. The foot board 31 is kept in an erected manner to an intermediate position higher than a center part of collapsing and turning a supporter 32 by the urging in a free state of an unlocked state at the storage position.
