A distortion correction control apparatus for compensating the burst distortion of a transmission amplifier caused by the burst of an input signal to be transmitted. The apparatus comprises a generating means for generating a distortion correction coefficient having the opposite characteristic to the foregoing burst distortion; a means for multiplying the input signal by the distortion correction coefficient outputted from the generating means or adding the distortion correction coefficient to the input signal when receiving burst information notifying a change between presence and absence of the input signal; and an updating means for updating, based on both the input signal and a branch signal fed back as an output signal of the transmission amplifier, the parameter of a function used for adaptively generating the distortion correction coefficient and for inputting the updated parameter to the generating means.
