Disclosed is an orally disintegrating tablet comprising (1) D-mannitol, ( 2) an active ingredient, (3) at least one disintegrating agent selected from the group consisting of crospovidone and carmellose, and (4) at least one l ubricating agent selected from the group consisting of sodium stearyl fumara te and a sucrose fatty acid ester. The oral disintegrating tablet has the fo llowing excellent characteristic properties: the table can be produced in a simple manner in a conventional facility without the need of employing any s pecial preparation technique; the tablet has a sufficient level of strength for preventing the tablet from being disintegrated during the course of dist ribution; the tablet can be disintegrated rapidly in an oral cavity, is larg ely reduced in bitterness, a gritty feeling to the tongue or the like, and t herefore has a good feeling during administration; and so on. Therefore, the tablet can be advantageously used as a dosage form suitable for an elderly person, a child, a patient with a severe symptom or the like. |
