<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an image forming apparatus shortening user's standby time when the power source of the image forming apparatus is turned on. <P>SOLUTION: The controller 1 of the image forming apparatus 101 having an operation panel 105 for receiving various kinds of setting from the outside is equipped with an operation panel control part 4 and a main control part 6. The operation panel control part 4 controls the operation panel 105. The main control part 6 controls the operation panel control part 4.
