<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for amplifying and culturing human hematopoietic cell by which the human hematopoietic cell highly safe at transplantation can be amplified simply at the right time. <P>SOLUTION: The method for culturing the human hematopoietic cell includes obtaining the human hematopoietic cells from cord blood, forming stromal cells by using the cord blood from which the human hematopoietic cells are obtained, and culturing the obtained human hematopoietic cells in the coexistence of the stromal cells. As a result, the primary stromal cells can easily be obtained from the cord blood when the transplantation is required. Thus, the safety is secured in the transplantation using the human hematopoietic cells amplified by using the primary stromal cells. The human hematopoietic cells can easily be amplified from the cord blood even if the cord blood is the one to be discarded because of little amount of the human hematopoietic cells required for the transplantation.
