<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent backup failure during operation of an uninterruptible power supply device due to impairment of a battery, or fault due to battery failure resulting from continuous operation of the battery under lifetime state. <P>SOLUTION: The uninterruptible power supply device includes a battery having a DC input terminal, an inverter circuit creating an AC power supply and outputting it as an inverter power supply, a UPS control section for switching commercial AC power and an inverter power supply, and a charging circuit for supplying DC power produced by converting the commercial AC power. The uninterruptible power supply unit further includes a means for charging the battery, an inverter circuit control means for outputting the AC power supply as the inverter power supply, a UPS control means for switching from the commercial AC power to the inverter power supply and outputting power to outside, and a charging circuit control means for notifying the voltage information of the battery to the UPS control section. Furthermore, the battery has a DC output terminal for discharge and the charging circuit control means measures the open voltage of the battery which is the discharge voltage at the DC output terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
