PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust the control characteristic of a component generating a variation in characteristic among components constituting an electric power steering device.

SOLUTION: A data write-in device of an electric power steering device comprising a steering assist mechanism for generating a steering assist force to a steering system and a control device for controlling the steering assist mechanism has a non-volatile data storage means 41 for storing characteristic data of desired components in the steering system, the steering assist mechanism and the control device, and a data write-in means 43 for writing the characteristic data stored in the non-volatile data storage means 41 in a non-volatile storage unit of the control device when assembling each component.
