<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine, offering technology for suppressing the occurrence of misfire even when opening an EGR valve before opening an exhaust throttle valve. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control system comprises an exhaust emission control device 10, the exhaust throttle valve 11 on the downstream side of the exhaust emission control device 10, an EGR passage 41 connecting an exhaust passage 4 on the upstream side of the exhaust throttle valve 11 to an intake passage 3, the EGR valve 42, an exhaust throttle valve closing means 13 for reducing the opening of the exhaust throttle valve when recovering the control capability of the exhaust emission control device, a fuel injection valve 8 for injecting fuel into a cylinder 2 of the internal combustion engine 1, an EGR valve opening means 13 for opening the EGR valve 42 after the exhaust throttle valve closing means 13 reduces the opening of the exhaust throttle valve 11 but before the opening of the exhaust throttle valve 11 is greater, and a fuel injection timing advancing means for advancing a timing for injecting fuel from the fuel injection valve 8 when opening the EGR valve 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
