<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, informing various conditions of an optional device fitted to an indoor unit in simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: An indoor unit 2 disposed in an opening part 102 formed in a ceiling surface of a room to be air-conditioned includes: a casing 20 housing an indoor heat exchanger 21 and a blower 22 and disposed in the opening part 102; the optional device 150 removably provided in the casing 20; and a decorative panel 30 mounted on the lower surface of the casing 20.
