<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a utility control device. <P>SOLUTION: The utility control device such as a light socket, a switch or a receptacle is designed with a universal terminal. When it is inserted into a previously wired utility box 100 (a box socket), the terminal makes an adequate electric connection to a facility wire. A shell 11 is inserted into a common utility box 100. Then, the shell 11 is wired to building wires 14, 15 on the reverse side of the shell 11. When the shell 11 is installed in the utility box 100, the wires 14, 15 are held in the box 100 and behind the shell 11.
