<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a sleeve for a fluid-dynamic bearing that can accurately mold a dynamic pressure surface of free three-dimensional shape with no limit on dimensions with few man-hours using a metal injection molding method. <P>SOLUTION: The sleeve for the fluid-dynamic bearing is manufactured via a molding forming process for placing a cylindrical resin core, which has protrusive parts on the cylindrical outer periphery to transfer and form dynamic pressure grooves, into a die having a cavity formed in the shape of a dynamic pressure bearing sleeve, and forming a molding by injection-molding a molding material formed by kneading steel material powder and a binder; a degreasing process for putting and heating the molding in a sintering furnace after removing a partial component of the binder from the molding, and pyrolyzing the remaining component of the binder and also the resin core to eliminate them; and a sintering process for heating the degreased part to sinter the steel material powder of the molding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
