PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating machine oil enabling its viscosity reduction and refrigerant dissolution viscosity maintenance to be compatible with each other and also enabling its refrigerant compatibility and refrigerant dissolution viscosity maintenance to be compatible with each other, and to provide a hydraulic fluid composition for refrigerating machine. SOLUTION: The refrigerating machine oil contains an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and fatty acids in which the proportion of 10-13C branched fatty acid(s) is 50 mol% or greater.
