PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a housing of an aluminum alloy sheet for the use of a Buddhist altar, a worship altar, a memorial tower, etc., with a secured joining strength without deforming joint zones and without degrading design features. SOLUTION: In the inner face of an aluminum alloy sheet 2b which is bent and formed into a housing shape, the bent part 3a of an angle bar 3 having an L-shaped cross section is brought in contact with each border and its proximity in the faces to be joined. After both joining faces 3b are abutted on respective faces to be joined, while a backing jig 4 is held in contact from the inside of the aluminum alloy sheet 2b, a pressurizing pin 5a of a revolving tool 5 is inserted from the outer side of the aluminum alloy sheet 2b to perform friction stir spot welding. By forming a joint zone and integrally joining, deformation in the joint zone is prevented and a joining strength is secured at the same time; thus, the aluminum alloy material is formed into a housing without degrading the design features.
