摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device wherein flatness of an organic functional layer can be improved by preventing deviation of solute components when solidifying a liquid composition by optimizing wettability of the bottom surface of a region for disposing the liquid composition, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: When forming the hole injection transport layer 21 of an organic EL element 2 by disposing the liquid composition in a pixel region 100 surrounded by barrier plates 5 and drying it, a structure in which a first insulating layer 6, a second insulating layer 7, and a third insulating layer 8 are disposed in this order by turning them to the outside from the inside of the pixel region 100 in both end parts 100e, 100f in the longitudinal direction of the pixel region 100 is adopted, and as to lyophilic of the first insulating layer 6, the second insulating layer 7, and the third insulating layer 8, component materials are determined so as to have the following relation: lyophilic of the first insulating layer 6< that of the second insulating layer 7< that of the third insulating layer 8.
