摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a toner by which the toner having a sufficiently small mean particle diameter of toner particles and a narrow particle size distribution and excellent durability and storage property can be manufactured with high productivity, and to provide the toner which has sufficiently small mean particle diameter of toner particles and a narrow particle size distribution and excellent durability and storage property. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the toner comprises: a fluid dispersion preparation process of preparing fluid dispersion having dispersoid containing resin material and organic solvent dispersed into an aqueous dispersion medium; a uniting process of uniting a plurality of pieces of dispersoid to form a united particle; and a solvent removal process of removing organic solvent, wherein the uniting process has first processing of adding an electrolyte while agitating the fluid dispersion and second processing of causing the united particle to grow while agitating the fluid dispersion, the amount of the electrolyte added in the first processing is 2.3 to 5.0 wt.% for the resin material of the fluid dispersion, the uniting is terminated by adding aqueous medium to the fluid dispersion and the mean circumferential velocity of an agitation blade is made higher in the first processing than in the second processing.
