PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentrator having a compressor equipped with a brushless DC motor with a magnetic pole position detector which controls a rotation rate of the compressor at an optimum driving phase by adjusting the driving phase even when an arrangement error of the magnetic pole position detector is large. SOLUTION: The oxygen concentrator 20 comprises an air compressor 21 driven by a motor 21a for compressing the air, a flow regulating section 23 for regulating a flow rate of the compressed air from the air compressor 21, an adsorbing section 22 that receives the compressed air undergoing flow regulation by the flow regulating section 23 and adsorbs oxygen from the compressed air, and an inverter 27 for driving and controlling the motor. The inverter 27 has a driving phase adjusting section 27f for adjusting the driving phase of the motor 21a so that an accumulation output current value of the inverter 27 during a predetermined period is minimized.
