<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain charge and discharge characteristics of a secondary battery or the like at a plausible level over a long period of time, by firmly combining organic molecular chains on the surface of an active material, and with the use of a processed active material with organic molecular chains firmly combined on the surface of the active material. <P>SOLUTION: Organic molecular chains 5 are made chemically absorbed on the surface of an active material 3 to obtain a processed active material 1. A combining force of the active material 3 and the organic molecular chains 5 reaches 40 to 400 kj/mol. Provided a combining force of the active material 3 and the organic molecular chains 5 is 40 to 400 kj/mol, when the processed active material 1 is used as an electrode active material for the secondary battery or the like, charge and discharge characteristics of the secondary battery can be maintained at a plausible level over a long period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
