<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system and an information providing method capable of providing various pieces of information to a portable terminal device, in an information providing system, a communication device and an information providing method for providing information to a shopper of a shopping center. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises a portable terminal device carried by the shopper and communicable through a network and by near distance radio communication; a communication device communicable with the portable terminal device by the near distance radio communication; and an information providing device which performs communication with the portable terminal device through the network to provide information to the portable terminal device, and provides information to the portable terminal device by the near distance radio communication through the communication device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
