<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce errors by detecting the inconsistency of the inside of print job definition data. <P>SOLUTION: This print support system is provided with a constraint storage means 12 for storing constraints as the factor of the inter-item mismatching of print job definition data; a print job definition data evaluation means 13 for evaluating the inter-item matching of the print job definition data based on the constraint; and a user interface means 14 for notifying a user of the result of evaluation by the print job definition data evaluation means 13. When such setting that the print job definition data conflict with the constraints is included, the user interface means 14 notifies the user of the result of conflict, and presents the candidates of print specifications for stopping printing, or for resolving the contradiction to the user to make the user select the print specifications from among the candidates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
