<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which performs a dual view display by using a liquid crystal panel using a cholesteric liquid crystal as an image display means. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 includes: a display part 10 which has a cholesteric liquid crystal 13 and generates a display image by controlling a state of the cholesteric liquid crystal layer; and a parallax optical part 20 which is disposed in the front of the display part 10 and has a reflective layer 23 on a surface facing the display part 10. The display part 10 alternately has a pixel region having the cholesteric liquid crystal layer 13 formed therein and a transmissive region which has the cholesteric liquid crystal layer 13 not formed therein and transmissive to light. The parallax optical part 20 has a reflective region having the reflective layer 23 formed therein, in a region facing the transmissive region of the display part 10 and has a transmissive region which has the reflective layer 23 not formed therein and is transmissive to light, in a region facing the pixel region of the display part 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
