<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device for selecting a function displayed on a screen of a display device and executing the selected function, which is improved in operability so that a user can perform reasonable operation in each of a plurality of operating directions. <P>SOLUTION: The display device 4 is provided in the center of an instrument panel, and the operation device 5 is provided on a center console. The operation device 5 includes a casing having a palm rest part, a pointing device 12 and four determination switches 13-16. A menu screen or list display screen in which a plurality of function selection items are arranged is displayed on the screen of the display device 4. The user can perform determination instruction by moving a cursor by operation of an operation knob of the pointing device 12 to select a desired function selection item, and on-operating any one of the determination switches 13-16 in that state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
