PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure insulation performance even when insulation gas is changed into CO2. SOLUTION: This is a gas insulated switch device including a puffer type gas-blast circuit breaker 1. A puffer chamber 7 is divided into at least two chambers of a first puffer chamber 7a and a second puffer chamber 7b in series, and a first communication port 13 which is always open and a second communication port 14 which opens when separation of a fixed side electrode 4 and a movable side electrode 5 progresses are installed at the partition wall 12 between the first puffer chamber 7a and the second puffer chamber 7b, and CO2gas 2 which is injected from the second puffer chamber 7b into the first puffer chamber 7a is injected into the interior of the insulation nozzle 11 from a blowing port 9.
