PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washstand apparatus capable of permitting disposition of a light emitting part by securing a high water proofing property and high flexibility in the disposition while securing the function of illuminating the space for washing hands. SOLUTION: The washstand apparatus 1 includes a basin part 2 and a back-guard 3 raised at the rear of the basin part 2 for receiving water splashed when hands are washed. The light emitting part 18 is disposed on the back side of the back-guard 3. At least a part of the back-guard 3 corresponding to the light emitting part 18 has translucency.
