PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor capable of restraining abnormal noise, even if the contact portion of a brush to an armature is one portion on a single side. SOLUTION: The brush 4 which is brought into pressure contact with the rotating armature 24 with respect to a coil spring 42 is housed inside a brush holder 41. Tapered surfaces 402a, 403a formed so as to be slanted inward of the brush 4 typically at around one or two degrees, when the brush 4 is inclined are provided with the brush 4. According to this constitution, the taper surfaces 402a, 403a and an inner surface of the brush holder 41 are brought into stable surface-contact even state, even when the brush 4 is inclined; and the tapered surfaces can easily return to the original stable state, thus, it is possible to restrain generation of stick slip phenomena in which the brush 4 position varies slightly and intermittently in the brush holder 41, thus restraining generation of offensive abnormal noise.
