PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing structure for resolvers wherein when a stator or a rotor is fixed on a holder with adhesive, extrusion and drooping of the adhesive can be prevented, and to provide a sewing machine with the same. SOLUTION: The sewing machine is provided with a resolver for detecting the rotation angle of the rotating shaft of a sewing machine motor. The resolver is constructed of a resolver rotor and a resolver stator. The resolver stator is fixed in an installation recess 51 in the stator holder 50 with adhesive. In the inner circumferential surface 51b of the installation recess 51, there are provided multiple accumulation grooves 55. In addition, one guide groove 56 is provided in the inner circumferential surface 51b. Each of the six accumulation grooves 55 communicates with the guide groove 56. A surplus of the adhesive applied to the inner circumferential surface 51b can be let out through the accumulation grooves 55 and the guide groove 56. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent extrusion and drooping of the adhesive and thus fix the resolver with accuracy. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
