PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament having high hardness, high resistance to scratches, and high corrosion resistance, prevented from being scratched and corroded by impact, and having a gold color tone. SOLUTION: On the surface of the ornament composed of a soft base material, as an initial layer, a metal layer composed of one or more kinds of metals selected from Hf, Ti and Zr and a first alloy layer are formed, next, as a first layer with a modulated structure, a second alloy layer composed of one or more kinds of metals selected from Hf, Ti and Zr and different from the first alloy layer and a third alloy layer composed of one or more kinds of metals selected from Hf, Ti and Zr and different from the second alloy layer are alternately stacked thereon, and further, as a second layer with a modulated structure, an Au alloy layer and a fourth alloy layer composed of one or more kinds selected from Hf, Ti and Zr are alternately stacked thereon, and a hardened layer with a multilayer stacked structure where the outermost surface layer is the Au alloy layer is formed, thus the ornament having high hardness, high resistance to scratches, and high corrosion resistance, prevented from being scratched and corroded by impact, and having a gold color tone is attained.
