PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end shear transport line and a shearing method of a thick steel plate capable of reducing shearing yield loss by eliminating displacement of a thick steel plate tip in end shearing. SOLUTION: This shearing method of a thick steel plate comprises a step for detecting tips of respective thick steel plates divided into two and measuring a moving distance on a transport line at the tips, a step for calculating a displacement volume of the tips of the two thick steel plates from the measured moving distance, a step for raising a following thick steel plate, a step for moving a preceding thick steel plate backward on the transport line by the displacement volume, a step for returning the following thick steel plate on the transport line and matching a position of the tip in a transporting direction with a position of the tip of the preceding steel plate, and a step for shearing the tips of the two thick steel plates whose tips are matched with each other. This end shear transport line comprises a length meter for measuring a transportation length of the thick steel plate, a thick steel plate tip detection sensor horizontally arranged perpendicular to the thick steel plate transporting direction, a length measuring and calculating device, and an aligning magnet.
